In recent years, entrepreneurship has become an inevitable trend in the new era. Entrepreneurship is not only an opportunity to address unemployment but also a way to create new values and contribute to socio-economic development.

In Vietnam, entrepreneurship has also received increasing attention. According to a report from the Ministry of Science and Technology, in 2022, more than 20,000 startup enterprises were established nationwide, representing a 10% increase compared to 2021. Among them, many startups have achieved success, creating valuable products and services that contribute to improving people’s lives.

Lac Hong University (LHU) is one of the pioneering universities in promoting entrepreneurship among students. In recent years, LHU has achieved many significant accomplishments in this field, as reflected in the following impressive figures:

More than 100 startup projects have been generated and supported. This impressive figure demonstrates that LHU is actively fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among students, youth, and women in the locality and the region, creating a favorable environment for their business ideas.

Nearly 10 intellectual property assets have been commercialized. This figure indicates that LHU not only focuses on the quantity of startups but also emphasizes quality, supporting startups in developing products and services with commercial value.

More than 10 lecturers have been trained as startup mentors. A team of lecturers and mentors with expertise and experience serves as a valuable source of support for student entrepreneurs, helping them with orientation and problem-solving.

Diverse support models: LHU provides a comprehensive support system to meet all the needs of student entrepreneurs, including: Establishment of the Entrepreneurship Club since 2016: Providing students with opportunities and an environment for entrepreneurial activities; Investment in a Coworking Space since 2018: Providing student entrepreneurs with a workplace for meeting, exchange, and collaboration; Establishment of the Student Innovation Center (SIV in Dong Nai) since August 2023: Providing in-depth services to help students and pupils confidently embark on their business journey; Training and capacity-building programs (IPP, ACSE, CEFE, SIYB, MEP): Equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful entrepreneurship; Startup competitions: Creating opportunities for student entrepreneurs to showcase themselves, seek funding, and establish partnerships.

With these achievements, it is evident that entrepreneurship at LHU is developing strongly and is likely to continue growing in the coming years. This can be attributed to the following factors: The attention and investment of the University, as LHU consistently prioritizes and invests significantly in entrepreneurial activities. The University has built a comprehensive entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing students with numerous opportunities and resources to start their businesses.

In addition, the entrepreneurial spirit of LHU students is increasingly strong, with students ready to pursue their startup aspirations.
